​SHIP SHOW

Each year the Ocean Liner Society hosts an annual Ship Show which presents an opportunity to attend lectures, get together with fellow enthusiasts, and buy and sell memorabilia, models, books and much more. 

 When is the ship show? 

The 2026 Ship Show will again be at our wonderful venue in Alton, Hampshire, with a P&O speaker already confirmed. The date will be a month earlier than in 2025, on Saturday 17th October 2026. Ink that into your 2026 diary!

 What is the ship show? 

An annual gathering hosted by the Ocean Liner Society for all with a common interest. It has a sales room, a lecture room and opportunities to meet people with similar interests.

What is the programme for the show? 

Opening in the morning, the show offers a trading room, a socialising space and a lecture theatre. During the day at least two lectures will take place on subjects of interest. 

Do I have to be an Ocean Liner Society member to attend the show? 

No. The show is FREE to members. We charge £5 for non-members. Join on the day and we will refund your entrance as a discount on your membership. If you have an interest in liners, ferries, cruise ships and any form of passenger sea travel you will find things of interest. 

How can I find out about the programme at the show? 

The programme will be published on this website, in ‘Sea Lines’ magazine (posted to all members) and on OLS social media pages. 

Where does the next show take place? 

The the show will held in the Alton Community Centre in Hampshire where we held the 2024 and 2025 shows.

What does the Ocean Liner Society offer at the show? 

In addition to organising the event and curating the talks programme, the Society stall at the entrance enables attendees to browse through and purchase back issues of the Sea Lines magazine as well as meet our volunteer committee. ​

Downsizing? 

Want to sell books and items to people who will give them a new home?​

Sometimes we collect so much that we need to reduce our collections but do not want the 'stuff' we have loved to end up in a skip. Sometimes we need to move to a smaller place. The show is an opportunity to sell material to like-minded people.
